volunteer of the day
Nate is a 7th grader that comes every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. to volunteer for the day. His servant’s heart blows me away. He has found his fit setting up the kidzrock stuff and the team has fell in love with this student. Nate and his sister attended our water baptism meeting and they will get baptized this Sunday! I love this family and they have been such a blessing.
first baby dedication
Our very first baby to be dedicated at Gateway was Gabriel Mireles. Renee and Gilbert are a precious couple and I have the honor of marrying on the beach next month. I love them and know that my friend Val would have been on the front row beaming with pride and joy.
we are marching
Pastor Paula and Pastor Baileigh did a great job leading our kids in a very energetic song on the stairs of the stage. They sang, screamed, and danced during our first family service. The Rev. Ryan Parks (5th grader at Beard) did a wonderful job leading us in the Lord’s Prayer. Too cute!
art
During my message, we invited all the kids to the stage to draw and color their family doing something fun together. Paige Patrick drew this pic of me. I wish she would have included hair. She and her mom are little fire crackers and way too much fun!
family communion
It was very cool seeing families all over the room having communion together. They read 1 Corinthians 11 together before drinking the juice and taking the bread. It was a very holy and sacred moment as my family took it together.
red sox game
The ESPN baseball game of the week was on last night. I took my sabbath by going to my friend Berny’s (who is also part of the Red Sox Nation) house to watch the Sox destroy the Yank’s. I only drank three Dr. Peppers. Good times!
God is doing some amazing things at GFC and we are humbled to be a part of this. So many families are joining our church and making Gateway home after one or two visits and it is straight up blowing our minds. Our prayer is that all they remember today is Jesus as we continue to make him famous in our community.
I’m curious to what other Gatewayers thought their favorite moment of the day was.

Unfortunately, the commute from Ohio is a bit much for Sunday mornings so I haven’t made it out there yet. But so far, my favorite part is reading about all the exciting things happening on your blog! I’m also here to tag you with a Six Word Memoir Meme! I know you’re excited! Here are the rules:
1 . Write your own six-word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog (and include a visual illustration if you’d like).
3. Link to the person who tagged you in your post.
4. Tag five more blogs with links.
5. Remember to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
Check out mine at www. nodoi.minimalpixel.com and I’d love to hear Steph’s too!

Our favorite moment was when we left service on Easter Sunday (our first visit) and Brian and I looked at each other and realized that this is the church that we want to make ours and we want our girls to grow up with the faith and love that your church has re-instilled in us. We have not felt so comfortable and welcome at any other church that we have attended. And your flyer came to our mailbox at the most perfect time in our lives. A time when we knew that we needed to find the Lord in our hearts and home before our girls arrived.
Thank you!!!

Kristi you get the “best comment ever” on this little blog! We are so glad your family is a part of GFC. Promise me that you give me a call before Steph when the new baby arrives. I have to keep the streak alive of holding the baby first. We are so happy for you!

My favorite moment was finally getting to see first hand what I have read about for months in e-mails from Drew. It was awesome to see the relationships that you all have built over the past months and continue to build. I felt very honored to be a part of your service on Sunday. I hope I have many more opportunities to come visit and watch Gateway Fellowship grow into one of the most passionate and amazing churches in the U.S.!
Keep up the GREAT work!!
